Our Branch President İslim ARIKAN met with BARFAS Automation Technologies Ltd. Şti. Board Chairman Mr. Faik BAHAROĞLU and our colleagues.

During the visit, discussions were held on the importance of the digital world and its contributions to the sector, and information was shared about the company’s activities.

Barfas AUTO ID is a company based in Gaziantep operating in production and shipment tracking, inventory management, access control, personnel attendance systems, automatic object identification, and image processing. The company designs, develops, and manufactures UHF RFID, barcode, access control, fingerprint, and card reader systems under its own brand, aiming to create added value in Türkiye’s electronics industry.

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, which enables the unique and contactless automatic identification of objects via radio frequency, has gained an important place in today’s mobile and wireless communication technologies. The development of international standards in RFID systems is of great importance for the widespread adoption of applications.

Although its history dates back to earlier times, with advancements in semiconductor technology and decreasing costs, this technology is frequently used in mass applications as it increases process efficiency in various industries and provides significant benefits and convenience in daily life. At this point, with our domestically produced RFID products and solutions, we provide full support. With our high-quality RFID hardware offered for control and tracking processes, we deliver professional engineering solutions suitable for the digitalization needs of different sectors and institutions.

Our RFID-enabled products can be easily used in many sectors and fields. They can be used in shipment and inventory management, industrial applications such as maintenance and repair operations, asset tracking, access control systems (such as parking areas, vehicle, personnel, and participant tracking), document tracking, inventory tracking, production tracking, and situations requiring personnel safety and security, providing fast and efficient results.

As an automatic data collection system, RFID allows more accurate data collection compared to human-based methods. With RFID, more than 750 items can be read at once, which provides significantly higher efficiency than manual labor. With RFID, stock and inventory counting takes hours or even minutes instead of days, saving both time and manpower.

Within BARFAS AUTO ID, the UHF RFID system, which is implemented at advanced technology levels in many parts of the world, integrates UHF RFID antennas, UHF RFID readers, and UHF RFID tags, and serves as a reliable solution for companies with high production capacity and difficulties in product entry and exit processes, minimizing costs.

Operating in the field of automatic identification and data collection, BARFAS AUTO ID manufactures UHF RFID tags, UHF RFID antennas, and UHF RFID readers. RFID systems are designed entirely by Turkish engineers using domestic and national resources, and the products are offered to the entire country, especially in Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara, Bursa, Adana, and Gaziantep.

The new technological concept known as the Internet of Things (IoT) refers to the smart connectivity of devices through objects that can sense and communicate with each other. With this technology, it is possible to monitor and collect data from almost every aspect of our environment (homes, schools, workplaces, factories, cities, etc.) using numerous small, wireless sensor devices.

The development of IoT worldwide largely depends on advancements in sensor technologies. Thanks to compact, wireless sensors, we can track nearly all events around us. Therefore, our primary goal is to produce domestically developed devices with dynamic structures that are compatible with emerging IoT technologies. Unlike conventional devices available on the market, we integrate the latest IoT technologies directly into our hardware, enabling seamless wireless communication without the need for additional control modules.

With our in-house production capabilities—including a 4-head SMD assembly line with a capacity of 4,000 components per hour, a wave soldering machine, and a 12-zone (6 top–6 bottom) SMD reflow oven—we are قادر of providing comprehensive electronic assembly services.

Our company designs and develops devices used in systems such as UHF RFID, barcode, and access control, including project planning, enclosure design, and software development, all in-house. By handling PCB assembly, mass production, and product assembly under our own brand, we aim to create added value in the electronics industry.

Through IoT-based communication technologies such as MQTT, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet (TCP/IP), our systems enable real-time data exchange between multiple devices on the same network.

Operating in the field of automatic identification and data collection, BARFAS AUTO ID manufactures IoT RFID products, UHF RFID tags, UHF RFID antennas, and UHF RFID readers. These RFID systems are fully designed by Turkish engineers using domestic resources and are offered nationwide, particularly in major cities such as Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara, Bursa, Adana, and Gaziantep.

ISAF, the only and unrivaled event of its sectors in Türkiye and the second-largest industry gathering in the Middle East and North Africa, brought together all stakeholders of the industry for the 25th time on October 14–17, 2021.
