Frequently Asked Questions
How can I connect the RFID reader to the network?
Readers come with a static IP by default, such as 192.168.1.116 or 192.168.1.200. You can connect the device to your computer via Ethernet and access the web interface or configuration tool to assign an IP address suitable for your network structure, either Static or DHCP.
The reader is working, but it is not reading tags. What could be the reason?
1. Check that the antenna cable (RF cable) is securely connected.

2. Check whether the tag is placed on a metal surface. If so, an on-metal tag must be used.

3. Make sure the reader’s region settings are compatible with Türkiye standards (ETSI).
Are the devices suitable for outdoor use (IP67)?
Our industrial fixed readers and outdoor antennas in particular have an IP65/IP67 protection rating; they are resistant to dust and water. However, attention should be paid to the insulation of the cable entries.
How is the Wiegand interface used?
The Wiegand 26/34 outputs on our RFID readers can be directly integrated into existing access control panels. During cable connection, make sure that the Data0, Data1, and GND terminals are connected correctly.
What is the difference between the reader’s TCP Client and TCP Server modes?
In TCP Server mode, the device listens on a port, and your software connects to the device. In TCP Client mode, the device automatically sends data packets (pushes them) to your server’s IP address and port.
Is MQTT supported?
Yes, for IoT-based projects, our BAIOT series devices and next-generation RFID readers can transfer data directly to cloud servers via the MQTT protocol.
